Hi! My name is Paula Meier. I am in my fifteenth year here at Del Rio as the Computer Specialist. I teach technology to students in the Computer Lab, and direct the KDRN Crew and Morning Show.
My son Travis went to Del Rio, then HMS, and is now in his third year of college with NAU for Network Engineering. Travis, my husband David and I live in Paulden, and we really enjoy being in a small town. I grew up in a small town in Ashland, Kentucky so Paulden and Chino feel like home. I really enjoy teaching, and remember…...Always be ready to smile for the camera, and it’s all about Computers!
My name is Laurie Marley. This is my 23rd year of teaching in Chino Valley. I started my career at Del Rio teaching 2nd grade. I moved to Territorial in 1999 when it opened and taught 2nd grade. Two years ago I came back to Del Rio in 2nd grade.
I still love second grade, but now I am adding first grade. This year I have a combination of first and second graders and I love it! I am very busy keeping up with two different curriculums and finding new activities for my students. We are all learning a lot.
My favorite things are my son, first and second graders, my pets, cookies, books, the smell of crayons, baseball, daisies, iced tea, dogs, the color blue and watermelon.
I am from Valentine, Nebraska (Go Big Red!), but I have lived in Chino Valley for 25 years and have no plans to move. I enjoy the people, the climate and the sense of community here. My son, T.J. and I like to read, play games, visit new places, and look for treasures at yard sales or thrift stores. We have two dogs, two cats, two guinea pigs, one gerbil and one fish sharing our home.
